Introduction to schools (state run or private)

Introduction to schools

The need to choose the right school for your child is very important in helping them and the whole family feel settled in the country. There are two options:

State School System

Choosing a school from the State School System will integrate you into the Spanish society very quickly and is a preferred choice for many families with younger children. Of course, the system is also cost effective. More importantly, the benefits of learning a new language at a young age are obvious and the whole family will benefit from the interaction and involvement with daily school life.

International Colleges & Schools

Introduction to schools

International colleges and schools are a natural choice for those who wish to streamline into an educational system similar to the UK. The benefits of learning the English language has made this option a popular choice for Spanish families as well. International GCSE examinations are followed leading to a wide range of A and AS Level courses. Jávea, Moraira and the Jálon have well-respected junior and senior school that perform well in international league tables. Private education is available from the ages of 2-18 years old. More information about their credentials and the full scope of studies can be obtained directly from the schools.
